Agile: maybe, depends on definition and execution

Scrum: nope

Daily standups: awesome, do them, if it works for you and your team. Don't let anyone fool you into doing something called one that isn't. Actually stand up (if you're able). Actually demand everyone (who's able) does too. The end of the discussion is when someone's uncomfortable. If that cuts the discussion too short, tailor future ones to accommodate them. Repeat until unnecessary.

Real agile (and real things that are actually used in agile) are not micromanageable, they're the antithesis. I highly recommend a read/refresher on the actual Agile Manifesto. All of the things described here that sound nasty are just what agile was challenging, in agile clothing.

Edit: oh how did I miss my favorite target?

Sprints: definitely not for me. They're the Trojan Horse that lets all the fake agile stuff in. I prefer Kanban, but whatever flexible, adaptive, communicative system your team chooses go for it.
